Senior Content Marketing Manager

San Francisco, California


Base is looking for an experienced content marketer to lead content strategy and distribution. The position will be focused on driving content initiatives that create measurable demand. Working in close alignment with sales and marketing leadership, the ideal candidate has experience both building and executing personalized inbound/outbound marketing campaigns.

Your responsibilities will include
  • Developing and refine brand story themes, buyer personas, customer path-to-purchase, editorial calendar and distribution strategy to meet content marketing goals.
  • Tailor content by vertical and persona.
  • Identify and implement content distribution channels.
  • Partner with analysts, freelance writers and industry influencers on content initiatives.
  • Creating and maintain editorial calendar across blog, social media channels and email channel.
  • Creating content including customer videos, thought leadership viewpoints, infographics, blog posts, contributed articles, whitepapers, corporate collateral, ebooks, website copy, etc.
  • Optimizing content for search (SEO) and UX for all channels including web, mobile, social and email.
  • Tracking and analyzing content metrics and tie budget, plans and programs to the achievement of agreed upon objectives (lead generation, conversions, sales).
Job requirements
  • 4+ years in B2B marketing and content marketing.
  • Experience with HubSpot or Marketo.
  • Strong organization skills, process-oriented, drive to constantly improve quality, self-motivated.
  • Hands-on experience with modern content marketing strategy, tools, technologies and performance metrics.
  • Proven track record of content success.
  • Passion for building world class customer experiences and converting insights into action.

  • Exceptional copywriting and editing skills.
