We founded Base in 2009 based on a strong internal belief that businesses deserve better, smarter software. We’ve grown to over 5,000 customers across the globe and in September 2018 got acquired by Zendesk to shape the future of customer relationship management together.

We believe in a collaborative working style with a bias towards rapid prototyping, experimentation and a strong curiosity for our customers and their needs.
At Zendesk Sell (former Base) we own the infrastructure. Our technical strategy is to deliver self-service infrastructure that’s why we focus on toil removal (alerts, maintenance, mundane repeatable work) and shift towards Infrastructure as a Code implementation through Terraform. We work in a full SCRUM. Our longer term goal is to build a new production region, so somehow double what we manage and automate today.
Do you try to stretch technology to the limits? Are you passionate about pushing system performance and reliability to new heights? We’re looking for engineers who can identify trends, discover bottlenecks and improve the overall infrastructure.
If you meet these requirements and are familiar with some of the technologies we have in our stack, we would love to talk to you. Bear in mind that experience with a particular toolset is not essential. We value your ability to understand how different technologies work under the hood and what you can accomplish with them much more.
